Day #1 of the Ambiente Show her in Frankfurt is over and, for us, it’s been a great start. Beginning with an great coffee meeting with the talented design team at Odd Standard (here’s our recent interview) and concluding with a partial tour of Schonwald’s newest creations, our day has been full…and varied….with color and texture being a re-ocurring theme throughout.

RAK Porcelain continues its incredible amount of new product introductions....multiple dinnerware designs, new cookware and additions to its already new cutlery collections.

RAK Porcelain’s new CHEFS FUSION has four colors and, literally dozens of shapes, all with that same popular textured glaze featured on their NEOFUSION dinnerware.

Along the way today, we saw a number of new products that the hospitality world will need to get excited about. First of all, the avalanche of new products from RAK Porcelain continues unabated. With their colorful NEOFUSION dinnerware setting sales records already, they now have added CHEF’S FUSION (shown above) cookware shapes. In addition, from RAK, there’s new MOON, VINTAGE, LEA, and EVOLUTION dinnerware shapes. There’s even new ZAMMA which lends the company’s expertise in ceramics to buffets and gastronomic display cases, trolleys, and warming tables. The 68-page catalog of new items launched at this show is testament to this company’s commitment for growth in all global markets.

Great to see Arc International (Cardinal in the USA) continue to expand its selection of dinnerware, as well. Expansion of their TERRASONE and CANYON RIDGE shapes continues to offer plenty of mix and match opportunities for color and style. In glassware, ARC has made several additions to their very popular CABERNET range among their many new products.

Another great find today was NODE, the hi-fire terra cotta ware from award-winning London designer Maham Anjum, who has now teamed up with Narumi. This simple and handmade look of dinnerware is made to compliment cuisines of the world and enhance that cross-cultural dining  experience. This talented designer has a strong history of working with chefs who emphasis the cuisines of the world and her new NODE reflects that rich relationship with the foods of all cultures.

We also saw great crowds at Steelite, Libbey, Stolzle, Villeroy & Boch,  Schonwald, and Tafelstern booth among several other stands we stopped by. With 4387 exhibitors from 96 countries, the 2016 Ambiente Show is the most international ever.
