The Homer Laughlin China Company is growing its earth-to-table Fresco line with new Fresco Hues — rice bowls and noodle bowls featuring a vibrant surprise of color on the interior surface. Intensely saturated shades of robin’s egg blue, goldenrod, and lemongrass stand in sharp relief against the earthiness of Fresco’s matte neutral-toned exterior glazing.

Homer Laughlin introduced the Fresco line last year in collaboration with studio potter John Britt, whose specialty is ceramic glazes. Fresco evokes the changing beauty of the earth’s surface through the use of multiple stains in the glazing process. The result: one-of-a-kind swirling patterns and varied tones on each piece. The appeal of Fresco is that it offers the strength of American-made ceramic dinnerware while delivering the look and feel of handcrafted originals.

Fresco Hues takes the Fresco line in an exciting new direction. The counterpoint of striking colored interiors on the new Fresco Hues bowls will surprise and delight diners and make a statement on the chef’s behalf. The icy coolness of blue, the citrusy sharpness of lemongrass, or the comforting warmth of goldenrod will add depth, dimension, and personality to the dining experience.

Fresco Hues rice bowls and noodle bowls are available in both small and large sizes.

“Fresco is a beautiful collection that brings energy and earthy design to create an engaging tabletop,” said Katie Bricker, foodservice and general marketing manager for HLC. “The addition of these powerful new color options underscores the versatility and uniqueness of the collection.”
