The email to the reps read……

“G.E.T. is a market leading player in the evolving foodservice industry that provides its customers differentiated products with a clear path to continued growth. “We look forward to working with the very talented management team lead by CEO Heidi Modaro to help support the growth of the company through continued investment in the business and through strategic acquisitions, said Mike Horgan.”

“We are enthusiastic about the opportunity to partner with Olympus to continue to grow organically and to continue our acquisition strategy,” said Heidi Modaro,  CEO of G.E.T. “I am confident that we will continue to provide value to our customers and build on the acquisition momentum from the past several years.”

You may be asking what does this ownership change mean for me?  Well, the answer is, nothing at all, other than to provide continued confidence in the growth journey that GET has been on and will continue.  We continue to operate the same today as we did prior to the ownership change.  Yes, we have new owners; however, our go to market strategy and leadership remain the same.

In 2015 we purchased three companies (Bugambilia, Mikon and Clipper Mill) to support our goal to “own the tabletop”.  We are working towards transitioning Clipper Mill into GET and will provide you with information related to the transition in the very near future.  We are also excited about the organic portfolio expansion with the many new products for the GET core categories, such as the Mill dinnerware series and Osslo displayware.  The New Products catalog that we recently sent out speaks to GET’s evolution in “Transforming the Tabletop with Creative Alternative Materials”.  We remain confident that with our growing portfolio of products we can gain a greater share of the foodservice tabletop in all segments.
