Cookplay’s second debut, FLY, is described as a fusion of cultures. Pulling from trends in coffee, tea, appetizers, and the like; the FLY collection seems to focus more on shapes that express both beauty and innovation.

The collection definitely seems to cater towards coffee and light breakfast, especially with products like their “handle-less” coffee mugs which Cookplay says allows guests to “feel its volumes and experience its texture and touch.” In place of a traditional handle is an extended, curved down rim that can act as a handle but can also be used to pour sauces, a feature courtesy of the unique design.

Cookplay has always taken a unique approach to tableware with products lines like JOMON which promotes diversity on tabletops or YAOI which uses design to promote healthy eating. Those lines have also seen additions and help bolster Ana Toquero’s vision, or as Cookplay’s latest catalog puts it, to “redefine modern table, offering a more creative and refreshing tableware nearest to the sensibility of the food.”

We’re excited to see how the hospitality embraces Cookplay’s push for innovation and creativity on tabletop. We love what we’ve seen so far from Cookplay, their FLY collection really catches our eye, but then again… most of the creative work from Cookplay does!
