Starting from April 1st, 2015 Villeroy & Boch USA will be the exclusive distributor of Broggi fine Italian flatware, holloware, buffetware and other products to the Foodservice markets in the United States, Canada and the Caribbean. Through this agreement Villeroy & Boch will be offering the products of Abert Spa Divisione Broggi 1818 exclusively in North America: an expanded range of fine flatware, unique holloware, trend forward buffet systems and other products that are all made in Italy.

“Broggi fits nicely with our brand, culture and heritage. They have been in continuous operation in Italy since 1818”, said John Schroeder, vice president, Americas, Foodservice Sales & Marketing, Villeroy & Boch. Burkhard Schmidt, director of the Hotel & Restaurant Division at Villeroy & Boch added that “The addition of Broggi to our portfolio of fine German porcelain and crystal is a major step in our strategy for an increased presence in the American market”.

The cooperation between Broggi and Villeroy & Boch began in Europe in 2003. For many years Broggi has distributed products of the Hotel & Restaurant Division of Villeroy & Boch in Italy. Additionally, Villeroy & Boch has represented Broggi in the HORECA sector since 2012 in France and since 2013 in Germany. “The two historical and prestigious brands have experienced significant growth during these years”, said Fabrizio Leonardi, Broggi Specialist for the US market. “Together with Villeroy & Boch we have the opportunity to increase our presence in North America”, added Giovanni Bertoli, Sales & Marketing Director of Broggi 1818, “this is an extension of a partnership that has proved to be increasingly more successful every year in Italy, France, Germany and other countries.”

Just like Villeroy & Boch the company Broggi, headquartered in Brescia, Italy, has a long tradition. The perfect symbiosis of exclusive porcelain and high quality cutlery is valued by customers worldwide: As a “preferred supplier” Villeroy & Boch has an international framework agreement with the Belmond Group and serves numerous refurbishments and range extensions in Tableware, Broggi for cutlery. For instance, the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express, the luxurious train of the Belmond Group, is one of the top references of Villeroy & Boch and Broggi.
