Cocktails, like humanity, have evolved for the primordial “mash” of grains, corn, cane, etc. and represent a time capsule that unveils a story of human history. One of the guardians of these stories and our taste buds is author and cocktail expert Warren Bobrow who will be joining us as a contributor to these pages on a regular basis.

Warren Bobrow is an expert mixologist and cocktail preservationist, encouraging an appreciation of classic beverages while championing the evolution of cocktails in the contemporary world. As a beacon around the world for the tabletop element of the professional food and beverage industry, TabletopJournal has the privilege of bringing Warren to the team to applaud his craft and showcase the beautiful glassware that highlights it.

Warren, inspired by his love for the complexity of a good cocktail, left the shackles of corporate America to take on the mantle of the “Cocktail Whisperer”. As the Cocktail Whisperer, he has flourished as successful columnist and has been selected to judge several prestigious beverage competitions. Warren’s most recent book, “Whiskey Cocktails”, is a best seller on Amazon.

We’re honored to have Warren Bobrow as a contributor, with his true asset to TabletopJournal readers his expertise to articulate the importance of and exactly how to create an elevated beverage experience. With the imagination of an artist and the pallet of a chef, Warren uses each piece of the cocktails to paint a story with the glassware as his centerpiece. On the verge of quenching the thirst of 350 people in the South Hamptons with his latest list of potent creations, Warren took the time to chat with us about his experience.

When asked about the importance of glassware, Warren stressed that:
“Quality is paramount. I love nothing else more than going to an antique store and finding a retro design that fits the style of the drink. Glasses have memories… a soul”.

It’s not Warren’s resolve to simply make a great drink; it is the overall experience of the guest enjoying the drink. While on this sojourn of the senses, he emphasizes the moral imperative to have the correct glass for each drink.

We could not agree more….

Look for Warren’s first composition on the importance of the properly crafted cocktail later this week in our People section. You can also link to Warren’s website by going here:    http://cocktailwhisperer.com/
