Steelite International CEO Kevin Oakes has been named Midlands Region Entrepreneur of the Year by Ernst & Young-UK’s annual award ceremony. Judges described Steelite as ‘a truly international business’ and a ‘great example of taking a traditional Potteries business and reinventing it.’ They also praised Kevin’s ‘calm, organised approach and innovation’.
Oakes and several other category winners will go on to eventually compete for Ernst & Young’s UK Entrepreneur of The Year award later this year.
