Steelite’s display of products from their new partnership with Crucial Detail There were a number of interesting items and companies in the tabletop category at this year’s NRA Show which has just concluded. In no particular order, some of the most creative and innovative things we noticed were:
– the Steelite partnership with Crucial Detail’s Martin Kastner; these products will re-inforce Steelite’s image as a leading edge supplier of tabletop to top chefs in America;
– the new Dudson booth, which re-states the company’s firm committment to foodservice in America; hospitality has been in the Dudson DNA for a long time and anyone who might have doubted it, no longer can have any such thoughts after seeing the large, beautifully merchandised, new booth that Dudson had;
Lenox’s re-entry into the American hospitality market; it has been a crime for far too long to have the best known brand in American dinnerware not present at the country’s premier foodservice show; that is no longer the case as Guy Hamrin and his team have come roaring back into the market with several premier shapes made especially for the restaurant and hotel market; well done!
Raynaud’s new LUNE design, so feminine and sensuous that customers don’t even ask the price – they just know they want it! By the way, we are told the price is much less than most expect….seems Raynaud understands the market better than some think.
Hollowick’s new liquid heat wicks allowing for better control of the heat temperature; not the sexiest entry in tabletop but one of those “behind the scenes” new items that that costs little and improves greatly the guest experience without any fanfare;
 – Oneida’s new Strata buffet systems to keeping buffet service hot; Oneida continues to re-invent itself and clearly they have moved to become a customer-centric company;

Izabel Lam’s new line of buffet serving accessories, combing metals with her trademark glass pieces – Villeroy and Boch’s new Modern Grace is spectacular and continues the blurring between hospitality and consumer products; with new VP, Bridget McGill now firmly on the ground – her and her team armed with an array of gorgeous products – you can expect Villeroy & boch to flex its marketing and branding muscle once again;
Merchandising Connection International’s new Lucaris titanium crystal is incredible in terms of both durability and clarity; new VP Gene Williamson also says customers have also commented on how affordable they believe it is, as well;
