At February’s Ambiente trade show, France’s Revol Porcelaine continued to raise the bar in tableware innovation with it’s new No.W porcelain that it is calling “the future of tableware”.

We came away so excited about Revol’s novel approach to industrial conservation that, in fact, covered the new No.W collection in our SEAT YOURSELF episode of February 17th our very first podcast upon returning from Frankfurt.. We included in that podcast the conversation we had at Ambiente with Revol CEO and President Olivier Passot.

So….what is behind all this excitement? Let us explain a little further……

Never or NO.W ?

No.W or never ? Revol is going the extra mile to help conserve its planet’s resources, recycling and taking advantage of its industrial waste to dramatically reduce the use of water and primary minerals in its porcelain production. Its aim : to be the first to offer the hotel and restaurant industry eco-friendly products made from recycled ceramic clay and enamels – is now reality.

The ceramic clay “RECYCLAY”

Recyclay is the result of a revolutionary new way of processing its industrial wastewater.

It means Revol can purify the water and return it to its natural state while recovering the mineral matter in suspension that come from its clays and enamels. From this Revol can create a new ceramic clay with the same technical properties as other Revol ceramics. By applying for a patent, the brand is reaffirming its status as a pioneer in the world of innovative ceramics.

No.W, an sustainably designed collection

No.W the first collection made from this new clay Recyclay :  a simple, subtle and durable hand-made range, but also one of the most robust and functional for professional chefs.

The perfect tool for responsible, eco-minded cooks, it will be a firm favorite to enhance everything from sophisticated cuisine to the simplest of dishes both in the kitchen and at the dining table.

REVOL’s eco-commitment for 2020 : to reincorporate its industrial waste water into its production process, which means Revol will use 80 fewer tonnes of primary materials (kaolin, feldspath, clay, silica).

And, as the team at Revol says……”The future of tableware starts No.W !”
