At this year’s Ambiente trade fair, there were many exciting and creative exhibitors of tabletop products for the hospitality sector. One of the most creative, but perhaps not as well-known globally, was Spain’s Pordamsa.
Founded in 1975 in La Bisbal d’Empordà (Girona), Pordamsa is a family business that combines inspiration, creativity and technique within a passionate team of work that evokes every day its efforts to enrich the experience at the table.
And while at Ambiente, we had the opportunity to meet with Pordamsa Sales Manager Gerard Crous and Marketing Manager Adriana Gomez. Mr. Crous spoke to us a bit about his company and it’s philosophy towards the chef community and hospitality marketplace overall. Here’s what he had to say:
Today, Pordamsa works primarily in porcelain, but also now artisanally in glass…and wood, as well. At present, Pordamsa designs accompany the creations of the most renowned international chefs and offer solutions to the most demanding hotel design projects, both aesthetically and functionally.
Inspired by nature, Pordamsa brings both emotion and handcrafted detail to today’s creative chef presentations.
At the moment, much of the hospitality world is not quite ready to be focused on enhancing the dine-in experience for their guests, but this will change soon and when it does – Pordamsa will be ready.
