Jeff Weinstein from HotelsMag.com writes that Marriott International on Thursday launched a website dedicated to its F&B outlets around the world. Its new Restaurant & Bar Showcase tells the stories of some of the company’s most popular restaurants and bars, including those done in partnership with celebrity chefs such as Laurent Tourondel and Kerry Simon, as well as some of their self-operated, home grown concepts.
Marriott also has singed with top chef Kerry Simon and with French brasserie Brasserie Lipp, among others, in their bid to re-energize F&B inn their properties.

Master Chef Laurent Tourondel reinvented American dining with BLT Steak, but his Scottsdale outpost adds another twist: cowboy cache. Perhaps this is one more tangible sign that – with an increased focus on F&B as a brand differentiator for the lodging sector – that tabletop with also have a renewed focus. There are some great new tabletop products that will assist with elevating the Marriott guest dining experience. We look forward keeping an eye on their success and watching for Marriott to become a dining destination in these locations.

Since 1880, French novelists, philosophers, politicians and luminaries have cavorted at Brasserie Lipp. At the Mexico City restaurant – the only Brasserie Lipp outside Paris – everything from the elite clientele to the daily menu is en pareil. Well Done, Marriott. Well Done.
