We continue to be impressed with the generosity of those in our industry, both with their money and their time given to help others. And, here is just the latest example of that type of benevolence.

KSLA-TV in Shreveport, Louisiana reports that The Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana got a helping hand Friday afternoon. Libbey Glass volunteers loaded up boxes of donations for the food bank to pass out to seniors in the area. “Not only in America but here in Louisiana, people are really suffering. And the food bank, the things that they do, the services that they provide, really helps the people have an outlet of getting food” Johnny Williamson, a volunteer, says.

Libbey Glass employee, Susan Evans, says that their volunteer hours are “more than just filling a box of food, its giving back to the community.”  Libbey Glass spent their Friday afternoon boxing up donated food items for the Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana to send to those in need.

Nicely done.
