Recently, Holland America Line celebrated its upcoming float-out of its new vessel ms Nieuw Statendam in Italy. Styled by old friend Adam Tihany who created the public spaces, the Nieuw Statendam will carry 2,660 guests and feature all of the hallmarks of pinnacle-class design, with grand light-filled spaces and visual drama, along with sumptuous interiors inspired by the fluid curves of musical instruments.
The festive occasion, held at the shipyard, that included a “coin ceremony” where a Dutch guilder is welded to the ship’s forward mast.
