The “hammered” metal look seems to be showing up in all kinds of lines these days. From table accessories to flatware to buffet pieces, I suppose it is has to do with some of the very practical operational issues that the hammered finish addresses, such as hiding the scratches that might appear on highly polished pieces and more.

But, make no mistake, the hammered look is “in”. The two pieces shown above are new introductions from the good folks at Tablecraft. You’ll recall that last week we showed new pieces form American Metalcraft in a similar rough-hewn, hammered finish. D.W. Haber has a hammered finish collection, as well, and there are a number of others.
