Hospitality professionals from all corners of the country are finding that the hand-crafted, organic look and feel of Haand Hospitality’s dinnerware merges great tabletop aesthetic while also being able to withstand the common rigors of back-of-the-house operations. For those unaware, Haand delivers designs thought to create, in their words, ”a palette, an arena, a frame for the fleeting, sublime beauty that is a well-composed and plated meal.”

As you can imagine, you’re not getting entirely traditional shapes and designs with Haand. This translates into one of their standout lines, RIPPLE.

RIPPLE comes in 21 pieces with full functionality a restaurant would need. The dinner and salad plates come with a slightly raised rim that ebbs and flows creating a unique organic and wavy look to each plate design. If you have an opportunity to look closely at the RIPPLE collection, you’ll catch an interesting texture throughout the plate.

This makes the collection interesting to the touch, but also drives home the idea of ripples existing within the plate. RIPPLE also comes in multiple colors donning what appears to be a very flat, matte glaze to it. While it’s design certainly can draw your attention, it doesn’t stand out in an obtrusive manner.

Haand Hospitality and it’s founders have expressed the belief that prior to taking that first bite there exists a unique moment in which the taste of what you’re about to eat only exists conceptually. It’s that salivating moment, in which your eyes combine all the flavors it sees before it. Haand sees this as an opportunity to use dinnerware as a tool that becomes “inseparable” from the experience of eating. The idea being that as a chef working with Haand, you’re given more leeway to not only curate the look of your food, but to capture your restaurant’s concept and philosophy on dining as well.

In an effort to show the story behind the products that help enhance the guest dining experience, Haand’s philosophical and abstract approach to presentation has become the proverbial proof in the pudding, as to how that can happen. We look forward to seeing more from this Carolina-based hospitality company moving forward.
