One look at Figgjo’s latest catalog and its very easy to see why they are one of the premiere trendsetters in tabletop right now. The Norway manufacturer refers to its products as “porcelain art,” and their attention to height, shape, and color reinforces that notion with every plate.

Their ever popular Figgjo Klassik series offers two new trays and a bowl clocking in at 30, 35, and 40 cm. With a larger volume and surface for presenting food, new possibilities for use seem endless. The trays stack easily and beautifully to take your buffet and tabletop to new heights. But its when we talk about shape that we begin to see where Figgio shines.

The Fri Collection aims to do what its name implies: free up your tabletop creativity. It’s composed of organically shaped trays that lend to the dynamics and playfulness missing from tabletop. And while the asymmetric shapes may seem a bit unorthodox on first glance, no matter how you mix and match pieces they always seem to line up in aesthetically pleasing ways that your guests are sure to pick up on.

And when it comes to color Figgjo doesn’t let up on their desire to create porcelain art. Case in point: their Skygge Collection.

The Skygge series has a splash of color that ranges from light to dark providing a unique interaction with the food, changing its appearance depending on where its placed on the plate. Available in brown, black, grey, green, and blue-green there’s a decent sized spectrum of colors to work with.

In essence Figgjo has not only made color a part of their form, but they’ve now also made it functional, which stacked along side their foray into playing with shapes and height, is just the kind of bold thinking that puts the Norway manufacture on our watch list for future new product launches.
