Get in touch with the Earth with Earthborn Pottery’s nature inspired, handmade dinnerware. With a decidedly organic look, Earthborn has worked with chefs in restaurants, hotels and casinos since 1997. Tena Payne, the owner, believes her work was made for the artistry of the food.

“Chefs are artists too… food is their medium. Because we’re so much alike on our craft we seem to connect better then other clients who just re-sell, instead of using it. Think about it… we both take our raw materials out of the ground, arrange them according to our experience, put them in the ovens, and offer them up to others.”

– Tena Payne

We had a chance to talk to Tena recently and here is what she had say about her company:

Tena’s favorite part when it comes to working with restaurants, is being able to discuss with the restaurants what they want and need. And then, to go to work creating prototypes of products bases on their ideas, current decor, and the elements the chef wants to bring in. Working one-on-one with a chef to develop products that fit their specific needs is what Earthborn is all about.
