Inspired by the current passion for organic ‘provenance’ styled menus, and infused with the origins of hand-made ceramic craftsmanship, Dudson’s new HARVEST collection takes food presentation in a new and exciting direction.
HARVEST pieces are designed to exaggerate imperfections that are engineered into the mold, including ‘wobbly’ edges and apparent surface flaws. The glaze has been specifically developed to pool around an embossment of barley or wheat, creating striking textured effects. Every item is hand-finished with a sponged rim which naturally drips to create a unique piece. In HARVEST, Dudson has produced an authentic hand-crafted appearance in mass production, without compromising the durability associated with the Dudson brand.
Comprising a range of items perfect for a sharing menu or street and bowl food, HARVEST is very much on trend for today’s dining styles. “There is an increasing demand for less formal ways of presenting, especially for sharing platters and dip bowls that can be used with them.” said Dan Goodall, Design Director at Dudson. “We have designed Harvest to be imperfect, celebrating the individuality of each and every piece.”
