At recent visit to dinnerware designer and producer Jono Pandolfi’s studio gave us a chance to check in with this talented artist and find out a little about why he loves to produce dinnerware and accessories for restaurants and hotels. In the video at right, Pandolfi explains in his own words why he is so inspired to work within the hospitality industry and what he trys to achieve when working with top chefs.

Jono Pandolfi has been creating dinnerware for top restaurants for a number of years with Eleven Madison Park and NOMAD Hotel in New York City being his original signature locations. Pandolfi counts among his customers chefs like April Bloomfield, who along with Ken Friedman, is bringing San Francisco’s legendary TOSCA back to life. Marcus Ware from Aureole and Marcus Jernmark from Aquavit are two other signature chefs that he currently is working with, but Pandolfi is long known for his high-profile dinnerware collaborations with chefs like Daniel Humm (Eleven Madison Park, NoMad), Matt Lightner (Atera), and Wylie Dufresne (wd~50), as well as his custom tabletop pieces that showcase each chef’s creations. 

Jono Pandolfi’s TOSCA pieces have a texture and an asthetic quality that is intended to add to the overall dining experience. Jono Pandolfi maintains a studio and production facility in Union City, New Jersey, and is a faculty member in the Product Design department of the Parsons the New School for Design.
