Designer Forum: Q&A Interview with Top Tabletop Designer Mikaela Dörfel

German-based designer Mikaela Dörfel has created tabletop designs for some of the world’s finest producers. Working with companies from Rosenthal China to RAK Porcelain and many other top firms, Dörfel has developed a reputation of delivering both style and practicality in her firm’s designs.

While primarily working in ceramics, designer Dörfel and her studio team have recently helped RAK launch its initial range of top quality flatware and are currently involved in a new developing tabletop project with concrete as the primary material.
