In this season of COVID-19 corona virus, we are all missing many things in our lives. For the kindred spirits who love hospitality tabletop, we’re certainly missing the now cancelled NRA Show in Chicago. And, we especially will be missing seeing all our industry friends there. For us, one of our more creative friends we will miss seeing is Steelite International’s French designer Catherine Hurand.
We caught up with Catherine at February’s Ambiente show and asked her about the new products she was developing and her partnership with Steelite International. And here’s what she had to say…..
In the ever-growing number of collections in Steelite International’s Collections product book (you still can’t really call it a catalog… now, can you?) it might be easy to overlook the short, relatively small collection from this talented French designer. But, then, again….it’s really the details that make all the difference, oftentimes, isn’t it?
Organic forms and a texture that are a perfect complement to Steelite’s porcelain and metal tabletop products, that’s what Catherine Hurand brings to restaurant tabletops around the globe. All adding up to a nearly subliminal touch that transforms a meal into a dining memory.
