According to Peters, “We had a great designer from Crucial Detail with Martin Kastner that developed all the tools that allowed us to get the timing and execution that we wanted and the design that we were looking for.”
Kastner designed what could best be described as a silver platter spaceship for bone china. Complete with inserts for the china to be placed into, the silver platter also came with an internal heating element that allowed Team USA’s championship chefs to keep their food warm and ready for presentation. Kastner also developed a set of back of the house tools, such as a special potato press to help give Mathew the exact proportions he needed to make the meal happen.
Even (maybe, especially) at the most prestigious cooking competition in the world, #TabletopMatters!
Crucial Detail is a multi-award winning design studio, founded by Martin Kastner that offers unique products developed in collaboration with some of the world’s best chefs and mixologists.
