Tableware manufacturer Churchill China has pledged to reinvest around £1 million at its Stoke-on-Trent headquarters – after seeing revenue and profits rise in 2017, according to published reports in local newspaper The Sentinel.

The company enjoyed a strong performance last year, after group turnover increased by more than £2 million to £53.5 million. At the same time, pre-tax profits jumped to £7.8 million compared to £6.5 million in 2016. Churchill China’s growth in its hospitality export sales off-set lower retail sales, with export revenues £4.6 million higher at £29.5 million – compared to £24.9 million in 2016.
