Branding….we have talked about several brandnames in coffee and used them as examples of branding and brand positioning. Well, move over Illy, Starbucks, Lavazza……Southwest Airlines’s coffee branded LIFT reinforces the airline’s overall brand position as a quality, fun, and, maybe slightly, irreverent brand. Drinking this 100% Arabica blend also helps others…..printed on the cup – “Southwest Airlines proudly donates to the Guatemala Light Project. Drink our coffee and LIFT others!”

Southwest Airlines introduced LIFT in 2009 and by all accounts has been a great success! Good coffee….good branding….good idea……and, good cause.
