Branding: Differentiating the Brewery Restaurant

Interesting variation on the beer sampler tray from The Hallertau Brewbar and Restaurant in Auckland. Now, THIS is a beer sampler! This “Texas-size” beer sampler tray comes from a brewpub & restaurant from the Auckland, NZ area. The Hallertau Brewbar and Restaurant is the brainchild of beer maker Steve Plowman. A New Zealand first, the brewbar & restaurant concept offers fresh beer brewed on site and flowing exclusively through the taps.

Making sure people know what business you’re in is critical to the branding process and we’re quite sure people who come to Hallertau understand they are in the beer business. This oversized sampler tray reinforces this identity.

Since 2005 Steve and Hayley Plowman have run the family owned Hallertau. Located in the Riverhead area, evidently it seems to be a fantastic combination of brewing and an epicurean lifestyle. Next time we’re down Auckland way, we’ll give it a go.
