BHS tabletop AG continues its planned strategy to evolve from a mere porcelain manufacturer to an adaptable, innovation-driven provider of tabletop solutions to all foodservice markets. The start of the New Year sees the official launch of the new product range PLAYGROUND, and opens up additional marketing and sales opportunities for the world market leader in professional porcelain. PLAYGROUND enhances the individual collections of the three porcelain brands, Bauscher, Tafelstern and Schönwald, by combining them with trendy materials like ceramic, wood, leather, slate, marble, melamine, glass and metal.

BHS Marketing Director Birgit Dubberke: “Playground is a cutting-edge venture for us. For the first time, we have combined alternative materials with the porcelain designs of our three brands. The result is an array of distinctive looks and inventive table settings that accentuate the attractive appearance of Bauscher, Tafelstern and Schönwald tableware. As a stand-alone collection with exciting pieces and accessories, Playground is a stimulus for trend-aware fine dining.”

With PLAYGROUND, BHS brings together several of the latest currents in the gastro scene. Along with rustic products, elegant and high-quality looks are also in demand. These trends are accompanied by the desire for striking material combinations to create fresh dramatic tension in food presentation, using wood, metal and marble materials, in addition to porcelain and stoneware. PLAYGROUND is extremely versatile in its range of application, working just as well as part of a table setting or a buffet as it does for event catering, room service or at the bar.

Teamed with the high-quality, modern porcelain collections by Bauscher, Tafelstern and Schönwald, new staging possibilities for hospitality events open up. This results in table setting concepts that enhance the brands’ ability to fully meet customer-focused requirements. The clue is in the name: PLAYGROUND stands for gastronomic freedom, the playful opportunity to present food attractively and inventively.

Birgit Dubberke describes a further benefit: “Based on the mix-and-match principle, Playground products allow customers to shine a light from a different angle on their existing porcelain to give guests a multi-sensory experience.”
