The controlling shareholder, the Serafin Group, plans to propose to the supervisory board to nominate Gerhard Schwalber as a successor of Mr. Strootmann from 1/9/2019. The 52-year-old brings with him years of leadership experience in international business in the areas of commerce and consumer goods, most recently at Nestlé. Mr. Strootmann will be on hand in an advisory capacity to help Mr. Schwalber settle in.
Christian Strootmann has been a member of the board of management since 2008, spokesperson since 2011 and CEO of BHS tabletop AG since 2012. During this time, the company continued on a successful economic path, the product portfolio was diversified and sales structures were internationalised further. Significant investments were also made and BHS tabletop AG positioned itself as a modern employer.
The board of management and the supervisory board would like to thank Mr. Strootmann for his tireless commitment, years of loyal service and, in particular, his significant contribution to the successful development of BHS tabletop.
