The Business Interruption Group (BIG) was founded by world renowned chefs Daniel Boulud, Wolfgang Puck Thomas Keller, Jean-Georges Vongerichten, Jérôme Bocuse, Dominique Crenn and Edouardo Jordan. This coalition has started a nationwide campaign to compel insurers on behalf of the restaurant industry. Many insurers are denying that COVID-19 is attached to a physical property and cannot leave damage therefore leaving restaurants without basic coverage. Insurance companies are saving money while restaurants are struggling to get their claims acknowledged.
