With the current expansion of outdoor dining, there is a need for durable plates and platters that are sized to fit on typically small outdoor tables. The new narrow, rectangular, oven-safe ceramic platters from Emile Henry offer exceptional thermal and mechanical shock resistance and they are beautiful, creating elevated, memorable dining experiences.

Emile Henry, the 170-year-old French ceramics company, has created individual and family sized platters for alfresco dining. These beautiful platters can go from refrigerator to hot oven or microwave and then right to the table. With these versatile platters, appetizers and individual meals can be prepped ahead of time and cooked as needed limiting handling and time. Food can be served piping hot right from the platter.

The new platters are practical for serving hot bites as well as cold appetizers and artisanal cheeses and their traditional accompaniments. The high resistance Emile Henry ceramic is made from Burgundy clay and an all-natural glaze. These simple yet elegant platters are available in Burgundy, Clay, Rose, Cork and Tapenade colors.

This Emile Henry professional dinnerware is made of High Resistance ceramic, an excellent thermal diffuser, that remains hot or cold longer than other materials. Highly resistant to thermal shocks (-4°F to 500°F) and mechanical shocks, these dishes are chip resistant even in the most hectic of kitchens. The glazes, fired at a very high temperature (2100°F), resist the most aggressive of detergents and sharp instruments. The dishes are scratch resistant. The hard glaze is absolutely smooth and non-porous, which makes cleaning easy and reduces the time and labor to clean dishes.

Founded in 1850, and located in Marcigny, a small town in the province of Burgundy, France, Emile Henry has established a worldwide reputation for manufacturing the finest quality ceramic ovenware, gourmet cooking products, and bakeware products. Still owned and operated by the Henry family, the company today manufactures all of their new cooking products from Burgundy clay using their proprietary, state-of-the-art manufacturing processes. Burgundy clay is an extraordinary material that slowly and evenly diffuses heat to the center of cooking dish so food cooks evenly and offers heat retention properties that keep food hot longer than metals and other ceramics. There is no lead or cadmium in Emile Henry products, all glazes meet California Prop 65, and all products are 100% food safe. Worldwide, professional chefs appreciate Emile Henry for the many products and shapes that are properly designed for cooking and baking. Emile Henry is certified ISO 9001.
