Adam Tihany has completed his redesign of  Palm Beach, Florida resort The Breakers bar and restaurant area with the opening of HMF, the retro-modern destination drinking and dining establishment. “The nostalgia and the glamour of yesteryear are quite en vogue, while palates continue to become more sophisticated,” Tihany told The Palm Beach Post“We conceived HMF to be an open, active arena for decadent delights, and to cultivate a distinctly social, dynamic and inviting environment for the resort’s savvy clientele.”  Adam consulted with local Jupiter, Florida firm Peacock + Lewis Architects on the project.

Named for founding father of Palm Beach, railroad and oil tycoon Henry Morrison Flagler, whose ancestors continue to own and operate The Breakers, the 160-seat lounge-concept space, is on the north side of the hotel’s main building in the Florentine Room, the former site of the Tapestry Bar and L’Escalier restaurant.

“It’s a sophisticated and versatile, day-into-night space that’s visually stimulating and experiential,” said Nick Velardo, food and beverage director at the resort. “There’s a real sense of place here, and we believe we’ve come up with a concept that is just what our guests have been looking for.”

New Executive Chef Joey Tuazon was more to the point when he told the newspaper, “It’s all about sexy food and drinks here,”
