10 Strawberry Street, the Denver-based tabletop and home goods supplier has announced the opening of its newest distribution center in northern New Jersey. This is the first East Coast distribution center for the company as it looks to continue its growth trajectory with its most important customers.
According to 10 Strawberry Street CEO Zach Zucker, “Five years ago we purchased another distribution center here in Denver which doubled our warehouse capacity to serve our growing businesses. We have continued growth across all our businesses – retail, party rental and hospitality. Of course, for the moment, hospitality has challenges with the pandemic, but even that channel is improving.”
However, the company’s retail sector has continued its strong upward path with many of its retail customers. As a result, 10 Strawberry Street has now opened up an initial 20,000 square foot distribution center in Rockaway, New Jersey. This new distribution location will allow the company to spread its logistics requirements out and to provide quick re-supply to East Coast customers.
“We are very excited about our new facility on the East Coast,” says Zucker. “It’s near the Port of Newark and will cut down both time and cost, while improving our service levels. In addition, this allows us to continue to expand our state-of-the-art packaging platform we’ve established in our main Denver facility.”
When it comes to expansion, 10 Strawberry Street has also been looking at acquisitions. “We’ve looked at a number of acquisition possibilities and we’ll continue to look, but it has to be the right fit,” according to Zucker. “Right now, we’re pleased at where we are at and look forward to continuing to reinforce our mission of supply tabletop, buffetware and home goods that are – simple, elegant and affordable.”
