The UK newspaper, The Telegraph reports that Churchill China has confirmed the appointment of David O’Connor as chief executive with immediate effect. He will take over from Andrew Roper who retires today after more than 40 years’ service to the group in a variety of senior executive roles including seven years as CEO. He will remain a member of the board in a non-executive capacity.

According to the newspaper, the company said:
“It is difficult to overstate the role that Andrew has played in the development, culture and success of the Churchill business. The board wishes to thank him for his work and support across many years.” 

Churchill’s David O’Connor O’Connor joined the board in 1999 and has been chief operating officer since 2010. He has worked for Churchill across several functions since joining the group in 1991. He has been closely involved in both the development and implementation of the Group’s current strategy.
