The 40th edition of HostMilano is expected to be bigger and better than ever. With over 1800 companies confirmed for the show, and with eight new countries entering the arena, HostMilano looks to dwarf over its previous iterations.
The countdown has now begun, the trade show will be taking place at Fieramilano from Friday, October 20th through Tuesday, October 24th and will be celebrating with the leading event for the Ho.Re.Ca., food service, retail, mass-market and hôtellerie industries.
Specifically, there are 1,824 participating companies from 55 different countries. The newest entrants are Belarus, Egypt, Lichtenstein, New Zealand, Serbia, South Africa, Sri Lanka and the Ukraine, who will be taking the stage for the first time at the event. And returning for the first time since 2011 will be Canada. Along with these sellers, there are also over 1,500 buyers coming in from all around the globe, the most being from North America.
In comparison to HostMilano’s 2015 show, there is expected to be nearly an 11.5% increase in attendees. Nearly 1,100 (60%) companies hail from Italy, while over 760 (40%) companies come from other countries.
Dominating this year’s categories are the Food Equipment and Pasta-Pizza-Bread macro-sector being represented by 45% of companies, while second most populace is the Coffee Tea – Bar Coffee and Vending Machines – Gelato – Pastry macro sector with 36%, and finally the Furniture and Tableware macro-sector taking up about 18% of the companies in attendance.
