Guy Degrenne Sets A Clear Vision with MIRAGE

In 1948 Guy Degrenne decided to recycle old tanks from the Battle of Normandy and turn the recycled steel into the Degrenne’s very first cutlery molds; setting the Degrenne company up for a fascinating history of innovation.

Since then Guy Degrenne has developed an expertise in tabletop that masters the finest of traditional French cutlery manufacturing, to satiate industry professionals that pine for professional quality.

With that being said, we can admit that we perhaps didn’t give Guy Degrenne the love they deserved coming out of NRA Show 2017. Keeping with the Normandy theme we blame it on the “fog of war and tradeshows.”

The French total tabletop company delivered with a new catalog and some really great new products at the NRA Show, including MIRAGE.

MIRAGE is best described as an ode to the modern place setting. With its minimalist lines that emphasize the pattern’s originality, MIRAGE fits in comfortably in just about any setting. The cutlery set caters towards a more flat-looking aesthetic; something that is highlighted in the knives from the collection.

MIRAGE’s knives come in two styles. The first donning the contemporary flat edge as mentioned before, while the second scores with the more traditional and elegant design we’re used to seeing.

Guy Degrenne as a company has a presence in 40+ countries with home base being in the Normandy region of France.
