Holy Craft! It's in all the papers!
And, for those attending the NRA Show at McCormick Convention Center, this would also be a great time to check out the great beer glass selections from people like Libbey, Cardinal Glass, Oneida/Anchor Hocking, Steelite, Luigi Bormioli from Bauscher USA, and Duralex. We know you realize the importance of having the right glass to give your guests the best beer experience possible. But, in case you need a little refresher course, here's a great - and short - video from CraftBeer.com

A week that lasts eleven days!
Love it!

Cheers.

Duralex presents UNIE, glassware designed to create a memorable presentation for beer tastings at the bar or the table.

Made in France of tempered glass, these glasses raise the bar in beer tastings -- offering clarity and durability for years. An artisanal crafted beer should be presented in a scratch-free, ultra-clear drinking glass. UNIE from Duralex offers this enduring transparency, revealing the complexity and beauty of a sensational beer.

Duralex glassware, the mainstay of bistros and taverns in Europe, withstands the rigors of constant use. Duralex owes its birth to the industrial patent for molded, tempered glass, developed in 1939 in the La Chapelle Saint-Mesmin factory. This industrial process gives glassware perfect transparency and lasting clarity, and makes it practically unbreakable.  The tempered glasses are equally suitable for cold or hot drinks, conveniently stackable, impact and chip resistant, microwave-proof and dishwasher-safe.  Duralex is the only glass manufacturing company that manufacturers all of its products in France.

Like all Luigi Bormioli collections, ATELIER embodies Italy’s gusto for the good things of the earth - our wines and foods that are uniquely Italian, but loved the world over.

ATELIER has an extensive collection of graceful glasses whose angled bowls add interest to the design and more surface for refracting light through beverages.

ATELIER is a glassware collection with a contemporary design conceived for specific wines suitable for an elegant “mise en place”.

Understanding the practicalities of the restaurant business, Luigi Bormioli made sure the curving point of the bowl in ATELIER’s shape would provide high resistance to shocks and also indicates the proper pouring level.
In addition to its wide range of wineglasses, ATELIER from Luigi Bormioli also has an extensive range of matching barware and tumblers, each with the distinctive bowl shape so identified with the ATELIER line.

Since February of this year, Luigi Bormioli has been available to the North American hospitality market from Bauscher USA. With a wide range of top quality tabletop products from Luigi Bormioli, Hepp, WMF, and Tafelstern Porcelain....Bauscher USA can meet the needs of the most demanding hotel or restaurant menu.

Beer in Belgium is more than just a drink – it is interwoven into Belgian culture and tradition. A country the size of Maryland brewing over 800 different beers is a sign of a country that takes its beer seriously.  Connoisseurs favor Belgian beers for their remarkable variety, flavor and character.  Likewise, the Belgian people embrace the fact that using proper glassware enhances a beer’s aroma, flavor and presentation, maximizing the beer-drinking experience.

With the same passion as Belgian’s bring to beer, Libbey Glassware has introduced the new Belgian Beer glasses.

Whether serving a traditional Belgian Abbey Dubbel, Tripel, Golden Ale, or Stout, Libbey’s new BELGIAN BEER glasses provide a great presentation.  Available in 13 oz. and 16 oz. capacities, the large rounded bowl and inward-tapering top capture the rich flavors and subtle nuances, taking the drinking experience to the next level.  The unique design of Libbey's BELGIAN BEER glasses is also perfectly appropriate for serving other stronger beers, such as Imperial Stout, Strong Ale, Barley Wine or Doppelbock.

If craft beer is the way beer is supposed to be, then Libbey has done an extraordinary job of producing the glassware that craft beer should be served in.

A visit to a Fleming's Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar to learn about trends in restaurant guest wine experience, lead to a discovery of a different type.

Fleming's offers 100 wines by the glass, a unique Wine Flight tasting program, and a world-class list of reserve wines ....all served up in a list that is accessed via a small iPad tablet. All VERY cool.  It's no wonder that Fleming's is an industry benchmark when it comes to the guest wine eperience. That's why we wanted to learn more...

The real surprise was the wineglass that Fleming's uses for both whites and reds. Expecting one of the larger, more well known brands of wineglasses to be shown to us, we were impressed to discover Masterpiece Crystal wineglasses on the table at Fleming's.
Masterpiece Crystal is a smaller, more boutique-type maker of crystal & glassware and they have been doing it in West Virginia for more than 80 years. In fact, their entire line is 100% American made. Here's a video that shows more about Masterpiece and the craftsmanship that goes into each mouth-blown wineglass:
If Masterpiece Crystal can help a great wine-focused chain like Fleming's Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar enhance their guests' wine experience, we're pretty sure they can help your restaurant, as well.
