This is a picture of people testing out the E-Table interactive system at the jsut finished New York Show.
E-Table's interactive orderin system saves a restaurant money, increases profits, and makes the "WOW Factor" go off the charts!
Ok, I realize that even though we are the TABLETOPJOURNAL, we are actually focused on the things that go ON the tabletop, like china, glassware, silver, linens, and more. However, at the IH/MRS Show in New York, we came across such an intriguing actual "tabletop"....actually, an E-tabletop....that we're bending the editorial rules a bit here.
What makes this tabletop unique is that it is inter-active tabletop - made by a company called E-Table - which utilizes an overhead projection system to deliver an interactive menu, advertising, or any other message you might want to have your guests see and interact with. The guest uses a small mouse-like object and can review the menu, place their order, call a waiter, or request their check. This handy little tabletop comes to us via some fine gentlemen in  the U.K.

Just go to the comapny's website - http://www.e-table-interactive.com/ - and watch any of the cool videos they have and you'll see what we mean......

The folks  from E-Table will tell you how their interactive tabletop can lower costs, how it can increase profits, how it makes for a better managed kitchen and all that. We prefer to talk about the WOW factor! Talk about differentiating the guest experience!

Of course, there's also the opportunity to sell advertising to offset the installion costs....you can install games for yoru guest to enjoy, they can check out maps of the neighborhood, even watch as the chefs cook their meal! Pretty cool, indeed. I have to beleive that this type of system would work great in a casino operation. In fact, Holland Casino in Europe has just signed on to license the E-Table!

We're constantly on the lookout for new and interesting tabletop items....and this couldn't be more interesting. We think there a wide variety of applications for this sort of interactive E-Table, especially when you learn that they make a full table version, a portable version, a tablet version and even a mini version!
